Terms & Conditions

Welcome! These Terms & Conditions (“Agreement”) apply to your access and use of House of Bookkeepers’ services, including bookkeeping, ITIN applications, tax filing, and business formation.

1. Definitions

“We,” “us,” “House of Bookkeepers” refers to the service provider offering financial and compliance assistance.
“You,” “Client” refers to the individual or business engaging our services.
“Services” include bookkeeping, accounting, tax preparation, ITIN application support, and business formation assistance.

2. Scope of Services

We will perform services as specified in your engagement letter or proposal—such as reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, applying for ITIN, and helping form U.S. business entities. Any alterations or additional services require mutual agreement.

3. Client Responsibilities

Provide accurate and timely financial data, access to accounting systems, and any documentation required to complete services. Ensure login credentials and authorizations are correct. You remain responsible for data supplied and timely payments.

4. Fees & Payment

Fees will follow the agreed structure—hourly, flat rate, or retainer—and will be detailed in your engagement documents. Invoices are payable by the due date; late payments may incur fees and/or service suspension.

5. Confidentiality & Data Security

All non-public information you provide is treated as confidential. We commit to protecting your financial and personal data and will not disclose it without your consent, except as required by law.

6. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification

Our liability is capped at the total amount of fees paid for the specific service giving rise to liability. We are not responsible for indirect, special, or consequential damages. You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from third-party claims arising out of inaccurate data or breach of your responsibilities, except in cases of our gross negligence or intentional misconduct.

7. Term & Termination

This Agreement begins upon your acceptance and continues until both parties complete the agreed services. Either party may terminate with [e.g., 14] days’ written notice. You remain responsible for fees incurred up to the termination date.

8. Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute, we will first attempt to resolve it amicably. If unresolved, disputes will proceed via mediation or arbitration in [your applicable jurisdiction].
